About the role

We are seeking a passionate and reliable Dental Assistant to join our team at Dentistry on Highgate in Dunedin Central Otago. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our dentists and dental hygienists in providing exceptional patient care. This is a full-time position, offering competitive remuneration.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting dentists and dental hygienists during examinations and procedures
  • Preparing and sterilising dental instruments and equipment
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and updating treatment plans
  • Ensuring the dental surgery is kept clean, organised and stocked with necessary supplies
  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients and addressing their queries or concerns
  • Supporting the team in administrative tasks as needed

What we're looking for

  • Certificate in Dental Assisting or equivalent qualification
  • 1-2 years' experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and the dental team
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using dental software and electronic patient records
  • A genuine interest in oral healthcare and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
