We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Valuer – Plant & Machinery to join an established and very successful team. This is a pivotal role delivering expert valuation services across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, infrastructure, aviation, and energy.

In this role you will lead complex valuation projects, provide strategic advice to clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant professional standards and regulations.

You will enjoy a busy and sometimes challenging workload.  You are happy to take the lead in having commercial and robust discussions with your clients and other key stakeholders. You will also have a passion for the property industry and enjoy immersing yourself in it, via the many different organisations and membership bodies that make up the sector.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and valuations of plant, infrastructure, and equipment.
  • Apply market, cost, and income valuation methodologies in line with PINZ and IVS standards.
  • Prepare detailed valuation reports for financial, insurance, tax, and transactional purposes.
  • Advise clients on asset acquisition, disposal, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead multi-site valuation projects across NZ and offshore.
  • Mentor junior valuers and support team development.
  • Stay informed on market trends and technological developments.

To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills.
  • Proficiency in valuation software and MS Office.
  • Professional integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Experience with complex industrial assets
