Housed in the state-of-the-art architecturally designed Sir Owen G Glenn Building, our top-ranked, triple-crown accredited University of Auckland Business School is seeking to recruit established and early career academics to join its world-class faculty. It is the largest business school in New Zealand and has an international reputation for academic excellence. The Business School comprises seven academic departments with a strong reputation across the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. We support exceptional, internationally recognised faculty characterised by their desire to make a difference to business in New Zealand, the global economy, and society more generally. The disciplinary areas are intended to provide a supportive and collegial environment for all researchers and in particular, to ensure focused mentoring for early and mid-career researchers.

**Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity**

The Department offers a suite of Bachelor, Honours, Masters, and PhD programmes with lecturers who provide an holistic perspective on the discipline, enhanced by close links with the property industry. The BProp in particular, is highly regarded by industry and accredited by the Valuers Registration Board, the Property Institute of New Zealand, and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

The Department of Property has a vibrant teaching, research, and postgraduate culture. It is known for excellence and innovation in research, learning, and partnership with enterprise. Our strong links with the property industry offer student mentoring experience and collaboration with key players in the property profession.

Academic staff within the department publish in top-ranked international journals across a wide range of areas, including property economics, housing, property finance and investment, disaster management, property management, property valuation (appraisal), behavioural real estate, and property education. Staff value their connection with the industry and are quoted frequently in the media.

Applications are welcomed from those with a minimum of a masters qualification in a recognised area of property (real estate); or cognate discipline and should be able to demonstrate the capacity to conduct high-quality teaching and research. If applicants do not have a doctoral qualification, the department would expect a commitment to completing a PhD part time while working.

This is a permanent full-time position.

Remuneration - $87,000 - $145,000 depending on experience.
