Teacher Aide

Our Physical Assistance Centre (PAC) is looking for a Teacher Aide who is positive, patient, flexible and passionate about working with ORS funded students. An understanding of the complexities of behaviour and the needs of physically disabled akonga would be an advantage. You must have a desire to support students to achieve their potential in a variety of environments and be able to work as part of a team.We have a permanent position available working with students and teachers across Years 9-13. The person would  need to be comfortable with attending to the personal cares of students and also be willing to learn and perform manual handling techniques safely.The position is term time only, 30 hours per week (including breaks). Start date will be dependent on completion of a satisfactory police vet check.  Applicants are to advise what skills and experience they have in working with children who have high and complex needs and abilities.
