Teacher Aide in our Learning Support CentreHillcrest High School has a permanent, part-time Teacher Aide position, offering 30 hours per week during school term time only. This role is crucial in providing the necessary support for our students with diverse learning needs.What We're Looking For:We are seeking a candidate who meets the following key criteria:Competent Typing Skills: Essential for providing Special Assessment Conditions (SAC), specifically acting as a Writer for students during exams/assessments.Versatile Support Skills: Ability to seamlessly switch between whole-class support (which forms the majority of the role) and one-on-one support.Resilience & Empathy: Experience or ability to effectively work with students facing learning and behavioural challenges or barriers to engagement.Understanding of Neurodiversity: A knowledge base or genuine interest in neurodiversity and inclusive educational practices is highly valued.Key Details:Permanent Part-Time Teacher Aide (30 hours/week), 8:50am 3:20pm,  Monday to Friday, term time onlyStart Date: 27 January 2026Applicants for this position must have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa and will be required to be Police Vetted.If you are dedicated, adaptable, and ready to contribute to a supportive learning environment, please apply.A job description can be viewed on our website www.hillcrest- (>our school>our people>vacancies)
