Smart Environmental is currently seeking a new Class 2 Driver to join our Team based in Whakatu

About Smart:

Smart Environmental Limited works on behalf of local councils, businesses, and communities across New Zealand. Acquired by Blue Planet our mission is to divert waste from landfill, and with a large fleet of collection vehicles and line haul operations, we are committed to driving sustainability for the communities and businesses we serve.

About the Role:

Contract Type: Permanent Full-time

Days of Work: Minimum 5 Days (Have ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holiday)

Hours of work: 50 hours per week

Key responsibilities:

Complete daily vehicle checks

Logging information on Eroad driver/Logbook

Be fully trained to safely operate one of our range of vehicles

Adhere to all Health and Safety Procedures and Policies

Keep fit while you work - you may be required to get in and out of the truck multiple time's

Skills and experience:

Holds a NZ Class 2 driver's licence.

Experience in driving class 2 vehicles is required.

Health and safety conscious, promote and follow our health and safety policies.

Confident with technology as you will be required to use a phone, tablet and in-cab navigation

Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
