Key Responsibilities

Advisory Services

  • Deliver compliant, personalised financial advice within authorised areas of practice, with a focus on domestic and personal insurance clients.
  • Build, manage, and grow a portfolio of clients while maintaining strong, trusted, and long-term relationships.
  • Adhere to the recognised six-step advice process to ensure consistent, high-standard client engagement.
  • Deliver professional, practical, and client-focused solutions, including assisting with renewals, policy changes, and claims support.
  • Maintain high ethical standards in line with the Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services.
  • Ensure all advice and services comply with relevant legislation, regulations, industry codes, and internal policies.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance products, underwriting criteria, and insurer offerings to provide informed and competitive advice.

Client Management & Service Excellence

  • Deliver an exceptional client experience through proactive communication, empathy, and professionalism.
  • Manage renewals, mid-term adjustments, and claims processes efficiently and accurately.

Required Qualification:

  • New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5, Version 2) – General Insurance Strand.

Professional Experience:

  • Previous experience in insurance broking is required.
  • Experience working with multiple insurers and understanding underwriting processes advantageous.

Key Attributes:

  • Recent experience working as a Broker.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
