We are a professional and client-focused company on the lookout for support for our amazing mortgage broker. We are seeking a detail-oriented Support Assistant to work closely with our Mortgage Broker and wider team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys client interaction, is confident on the phone, and has strong administrative and communication skills.

You'll play a key role in helping us deliver exceptional service to our clients by assisting with phone calls, data entry, email communication, and general administrative support.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Liaising with clients and external parties to gather and manage required information.
  • Answering phone calls and responding to emails professionally and promptly
  • Entering and updating client data accurately
  • Assisting with documentation, mail handling, and reporting
  • Supporting the Mortgage Broker with day-to-day tasks
  • Collaborating with the wider team to ensure seamless client service

What We're Looking For:

  • Confident communicator, both written and verbal
  • Friendly and professional phone manner
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Administrative experience preferred but not essential
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and digital tools (e.g., Teams, Excel)
  • A proactive and adaptable approach

Job Description – Support Assistant (Mortgage Broker)

Position Overview:

The Support Assistant plays an important role in supporting the Mortgage Broker and office team with administrative and client-facing duties. This role ensures smooth communication, timely data entry, and contributes to a seamless client experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Liaison & Documentation

  • Liaise with clients and external parties to obtain necessary information
  • Assist in preparation and collation of documentation
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally
  • Manage email communications and outgoing mail
  • Assist in generating administrative reports and end-of-month tasks
  • Maintain high standards of data accuracy and documentation
  • Ensure internal systems and workflows are followed consistently

Team Collaboration

  • Work with the Mortgage Broker and Office Manager to stay aligned on workflow
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Investments, Risk and General insurance) where needed
  • Maintain open communication with the team to support client outcomes

General Duties

  • Be punctual and complete agreed hours
  • Prioritise tasks based on business needs
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude
  • Comply with company policies and health & safety practices
  • Use business resources responsibly

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Comfortable with learning new digital tools
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Prior admin experience is a plus, but not essential
  • Friendly, proactive, and professional manner
