Mortgage Broker Support Assistant

We are a professional and client-focused company on the lookout for support for our amazing mortgage broker. We are seeking a detail-oriented Support Assistant to work closely with our Mortgage Broker and wider team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys client interaction, is confident on the phone, and has strong administrative and communication skills.
You'll play a key role in helping us deliver exceptional service to our clients by assisting with phone calls, data entry, email communication, and general administrative support.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Liaising with clients and external parties to gather and manage required information.
- Answering phone calls and responding to emails professionally and promptly
- Entering and updating client data accurately
- Assisting with documentation, mail handling, and reporting
- Supporting the Mortgage Broker with day-to-day tasks
- Collaborating with the wider team to ensure seamless client service
What We're Looking For:
- Confident communicator, both written and verbal
- Friendly and professional phone manner
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Administrative experience preferred but not essential
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and digital tools (e.g., Teams, Excel)
- A proactive and adaptable approach
Job Description – Support Assistant (Mortgage Broker)
Position Overview:
The Support Assistant plays an important role in supporting the Mortgage Broker and office team with administrative and client-facing duties. This role ensures smooth communication, timely data entry, and contributes to a seamless client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Liaison & Documentation
- Liaise with clients and external parties to obtain necessary information
- Assist in preparation and collation of documentation
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls professionally
- Manage email communications and outgoing mail
- Assist in generating administrative reports and end-of-month tasks
- Maintain high standards of data accuracy and documentation
- Ensure internal systems and workflows are followed consistently
Team Collaboration
- Work with the Mortgage Broker and Office Manager to stay aligned on workflow
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Investments, Risk and General insurance) where needed
- Maintain open communication with the team to support client outcomes
General Duties
- Be punctual and complete agreed hours
- Prioritise tasks based on business needs
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude
- Comply with company policies and health & safety practices
- Use business resources responsibly
Skills & Experience Required:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Teams
- Comfortable with learning new digital tools
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Prior admin experience is a plus, but not essential
- Friendly, proactive, and professional manner
