Simpson Grierson is looking for a motivated Business Development Executive to support our BD & Marketing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with early BD experience who's ready to take the next step, build capability, and get exposure to a busy, varied, and collaborative team environment.

About the role

You'll work closely with our Business Development Manager, Partners, and senior lawyers to coordinate day-to-day BD activity — from BD proposals, pitches and client research, directory submissions and client development processes.

This is a role where you'll gain wide exposure across the firm, and play a key part in supporting new business opportunities and client-focused initiatives.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating BD activities including prospecting, targeting, and opportunity tracking
  • Assisting with proposals, tender documents, pitches, and capability statements
  • Preparing reports, research, and competitor insights
  • Supporting directory and award submissions
  • Maintaining BD resources, templates, bios, and pitch materials
  • Helping manage client surveys and feedback processes

About you

You're organised, enthusiastic, and ready to get stuck in. You bring:

  • 2+ years' BD experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A willingness to learn and take ownership of tasks
  • A friendly, confident, collaborative working style
  • Proficiency across Microsoft Office suite

Experience in legal/professional services is an advantage — but attitude, curiosity, and drive matter most.
