Business Advisory Consultant

We're looking for a dynamic consultant to join our team, someone who can help design and execute strategies to solve clients' business challenges and is comfortable providing pragmatic real-world business advice and delivering ongoing outcomes. 

About the role

Datamine solves business problems for our clients using a variety of data, analytical and AI services. In this role you will be performing deep discovery work, helping senior level stakeholders understand where challenges exist, the magnitude of the problems, and advise which strategies can be put in place to resolve these problems, and supporting the co-design of solutions to achieve desired outcomes.

A week in the life of a consultant might involve:

• Consider bespoke strategies, structure, management, and operations of the client's business to identify key business problems and advise recommendations, and how to implement effective data, analytical or AI solutions.
• Provide objective advice, expertise, and specialist skills to create value, maximise growth, and improve the business performance of current clients
• Work with a client to support transformation and identify challenges which might impact business change
• Engage with clients through workshops and interviews to understand their problems and design strategies to solve them
• Use your commercial acumen and market insight to spot emerging challenges or shifts in the business landscape, then work with customers to explore how we might support
• Proactively engage with clients to strengthen relationships, check progress, and uncover new opportunities to support them

You would fit right in at Datamine if you have:

• A degree, likely commercial in nature, or possibly a business analytics type degree
• 5 years of commercial experience, in a consultative role, likely in a consulting environment
• Familiarity with a variety of consulting methodologies and experience applying them when working with clients
• High organisational traits, with ownership and dedication
• The ability to multitask without stress
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• A proactive approach, taking ownership of your responsibilities
• Business insights/commercial acumen that you can apply across industries
• A desire to be part of a collaborative team that puts overall business success ahead of individual achievements
• Solid skills in Microsoft Suite
