Business Consultant

We're looking for a proactive Business Consultant to join our Client Services team. Someone who can help design and execute strategies by delivering pragmatic real-world business advice to solve clients' business challenges.

If you can identify future opportunities, understand business problems and advise clients on the best route forward, we want to hear from you. The ideal candidate is great at communicating the crux of the issue in a humble and supportive manner to nurture lasting professional relationships.

About the role

Datamine uses data, analytics and AI solutions to solve our clients' business problems. In this role you will be performing deep discovery work, helping senior level stakeholders understand where challenges or opportunities exist, and the value created by solutions.

A week in the life of a consultant might involve:

• Communicate with key client stakeholders to understand their structure, management teams and ways of operating to be able to identify opportunities for client growth
• Design bespoke strategies focussed on the client's desired outcomes.
• Influence clients on potential growth opportunities, challenge assumptions and thoughtfully lead to deliver results for our clients and Datamine.
• Customer leadership, helping the customer see the impacts of emerging challenges or shifts in the business landscape. Advising on best courses of action
• Identifying blocks which will prevent customers realising the maximum value from a solution
• Provide objective advice, expertise, and specialist skills to create value, maximise growth, and improve the business performance of current clients
• Work with a client to support transformation and identify challenges which might impact business change
• Engage with clients through workshops and interviews to understand their problems and design strategies to solve them
• Proactively engage with clients to strengthen relationships, check progress, and uncover new opportunities to support them

You would fit right in at Datamine if you have:

• A degree, likely commercial in nature, or possibly a business analytics type degree
• At least 5 years of commercial experience in a consulting environment
• Familiarity with a variety of consulting methodologies and experience applying them when working with clients
• High organisational traits, with ownership and dedication
• The ability to multitask without stress
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• A proactive approach, taking ownership of your responsibilities
• Business insights/commercial acumen that you can apply across industries
• A desire to be part of a collaborative team that puts overall business success ahead of individual achievements
