About the role:

We're looking for 2x confident and motivated team members to join our professional and driven team in Hamilton as Personal Lines Brokers.

We have 1x permanent and 1x 1 year fixed term position to fill.  

You will engage with clients via phone and email to understand and provide insurance solutions for their personal assets such as house, contents, cars and boats etc. You will also undertake processing of new business, renewals and endorsements together with being the pivotal point of contact for clients and underwriters. 

You will be natural at engaging people with exceptional communication and relationship building skills to service, develop and maintain a well-established portfolio of loyal clients.

How you'll make an impact
  • Build knowledge and understanding of our clients' domestic insurance needs to provide tailored advice 

  • Deliver expert domestic insurance advice and products to our clients

  • Service renewals, new business, alterations and endorsements

  • Manage and resolve client enquiries (cover queries, policy amendments) 

  • Partner with the claims team to manage the claims process 

  • Provide clients with timely and accurate updates on domestic insurance claims

  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to ensure trust and brand loyalty exists 

Skills and Experience:

  • The ability to build and maintain enduring relationships with clients and team members 

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure

  • Previous insurance experience in a broking / claims or similar role will be advantageous

  • A certificate in Financial Services (NZQA Level 5) NB: While you will need to be NZQA level 5 qualified with a Certificate in Financial Services we don't expect you to bring this to the table. For the right candidate we will pay for and provide you with the support to gain your qualification through our study support program.
