Vacancy - Grade 2 Caretaker

Are you practical, reliable and take pride in keeping spaces safe, tidy and well-maintained? Tauranga Special School is seeking a dedicated Caretaker to join our team and help us ensure our school is always a welcoming place for tamariki, staff and our wider school community.

Tauranga Special School is a school for students from the age of 5 to 21 years. We are the leading provider of education for students with special educational needs in the Western Bay of Plenty.

About the Role - Grade 2 Caretaker

Our Caretaker plays a key part in the daily life of our school. This role involves maintaining our grounds, buildings and facilities to a high standard so that everyone can enjoy a safe and positive environment for learning. This role maintains grounds across multiple sites and buildings.

You will need:

  • Proven practical maintenance and repair skills
  • A strong work ethic and excellent reliability
  • The ability to work well with staff, students, and contractors
  • Flexibility and a solution-based attitude
  • Full clean drivers licence
  • Police vetting will be required in line with school policy
