About the role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced credit writer to join our dynamic team in our Auckland CBD office. As a Lending Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients with their mortgage needs and contributing to the overall success of our growing financial services business.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist clients throughout the entire mortgage application process, from initial enquiry to final approval
  • Gather and analyze financial information to assess client eligibility and determine appropriate lending solutions
  • Prepare and submit mortgage applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is provided
  • Liaise with lenders, solicitors, and other stakeholders to facilitate a smooth and efficient lending process
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients, ensuring their needs are met
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in mortgage regulations, policies, and market trends
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our lending processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience in a lending, mortgage, or financial services role
  • Strong understanding of the mortgage industry, including product knowledge and lending policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders
  • Proficient in using financial and mortgage-related software and systems
  • Attention to detail and the ability to accurately process and manage financial information
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify suitable lending solutions for clients
  • Passion for providing exceptional customer service and a commitment to professional development
