Our national business services team supports the day-to-day operation of the firm across a broad range of areas including, marketing, business development and client experience; hospitality and events; finance and business analysis, HR, communications, IT; research, knowledge management and legal support; reception and general business support.

About the role

This is an amazing opportunity to support our National Business Development, Marketing & Communications team. You will coordinate and leverage events, sponsorships and third-party conferences, whilst supporting the firm's business development initiatives. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Event planning and administration, including, preparing and updating guestlists, invitations, creating run sheets and looking after post-event activity.
  • Work closely with the Events & Sponsorship Manager and Services team to ensure the smooth running and coordination of our national events and sponsorships across all three of the firm's offices.
  • Proactively identify client entertainment options and generate event ideas.
  • Host and attend events - you will meet and greet the attendees and ensure the event runs smoothly from start to finish.
  • Coordinate and assist with the communications and profiling of events and other external and internal communications, including via social media.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, partners, legal staff, catering and services teams about upcoming events and requirements.
  • Assist with CRM Management and ensuring our contact database and details are kept up to date.
  • Maintain and update events internal information, calendars and spreadsheets.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in an event management/coordination and/or administration role/s
  • Strong administrative experience and attention to detail.
  • High quality client service delivery, with a focus on the overall excellent client experience.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, able to multi-task and think ahead.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines, responding to change, and competing priorities
  • Previous experience in a professional services or corporate environment would be advantageous.
  • A strong service focus with the ability to listen and understand the essential requirements of different areas of the firm.
  • Ability to build connections and work collaboratively as part of a team, while also taking initiative and working autonomously when required.
  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
