The ideal candidate will take charge of essential tasks, including staff scheduling, food preparation, inventory management, and team supervision, while also playing a pivotal role in creating a positive and collaborative work environment, ensuring that every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute to our mission of excellence.

Key responsibilities include

  • Support the management and daily operations of the Deli department
  • Ensure high-quality food production and presentation standards
  • Supervise and train deli staff, fostering a teamwork-oriented environment
  • Manage inventory and stock levels, ensuring optimal freshness and compliance
  • Assist with scheduling and rostering to meet peak demands
  • Uphold health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance in all aspects of operations
  • Engage with customers, ensuring their needs are met and building lasting relationships
  • Utilise computer systems for inventory management and reporting

The successful applicant will:

  • Have proven experience in a similar role within the fresh foods industry
  • Demonstrate strong production knowledge related to deli items.
  • Be highly organised and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff
  • Be computer literate and comfortable using software systems to manage operations, including SAP
  • Exhibit outstanding customer service skills and a keen understanding of customer needs.
  • Be adaptable and calm under pressure.
