Business Growth Manager ~ Wellington Region

TIME FOR A FRESH FOCUS
Based in our Wellington Head Office. We are looking for a sales HUNTER, a person who will knock on doors, have a rare ability to find out what is happening, who the movers and shakers are, and get in front of them to showcase our capabilities as the best provider of all things communication and security, and turn that into an order for our great in-house delivery team to make happen.
IDEALLY, you will need to have a background Cabling/Wifi, AV/Security but the role is best suited for a person who simply put, just gets out and about, finds the opportunities and makes sure that we deliver the proposal, follows up and provides the business with our in-house project managers to make it all happen
We would expect that you would be talking to many existing clients, working with them, and at the same time hunting for new opportunities that exist at every turn.
Ideally, you will be a Wellingtonian with a very strong network of relationships that you can leverage to hit the ground running.
You will be left alone to deliver the results, but well mentored and guided with weekly planning and review support meetings, to be clear, our expectations are that you would be face-to-face with at least two to three customers on average per day.
Key responsibilities of this role:
- Identify and prospect to attract new business while maintaining and up-selling services to our existing client base.
- Be accountable, exceed sales goals and financial targets (and get the rewards) – Hit budget get $10,000 PLUS an open-ended profit share above that.
- Proactive client engagement managing client expectations, both on a sales level and ensuring our delivery teams understand the scope and deliver to the expectation of the client – being the client's trusted advisor
- Negotiate, structure, and close deals.
- Establish yourself on client tender lists, if we are not already included.
- Work with the broader NZ Data / NZ Security teams and vendors to expand your knowledge and sales capability across all of our services, solutions, and products.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Desktop skills – Office 365 – Ability to communicate well and quickly
- Proven ability to manage multiple client expectations and track concurrent projects successfully. We have the systems, but you will need to use them
- Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines – time management.
- Do not be frightened to have a call plan that is busy, really busy.
