About the Role

Our products reach markets across New Zealand and Australia, and we take pride in delivering premium, compliant, and consumer-safe solutions, and we're looking for a commercially minded, execution-focused Product Manager - NPD (New Product Development) to bring the next generation of our category-leading products to life.

Based in Auckland, this is a newly created, full-time role designed for an experienced FMCG Product or NPD professional ready to own the entire product development process - from concept to launch, and everything in between.

You'll sit at the centre of innovation: building and managing the NPD pipeline, partnering closely with Regulatory, Category Insights, Marketing, and our international manufacturing network to deliver products that are consumer-led, compliant, and commercially sound.

What You'll Do
  • Lead End-to-End Product Development: Drive products from concept and validation through to regulatory approval, manufacturing, and launch.

    Develop briefs, consumer insights, and positioning to ensure every new product meets real market needs.
  • Own the NPD Pipeline: Maintain clear visibility across multiple live projects using Asana. Track progress, risks, and milestones to ensure timely delivery and zero surprises.
  • Partner Across Functions: Work seamlessly with Regulatory, Category Insights, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to ensure launches are legally compliant, insight-led, and commercially robust.
  • Drive Supplier & Manufacturing Coordination: Liaise with overseas partners on formulations, specifications, artwork, and timelines. Ensure quality and readiness for the market.
  • Deliver Commercial Impact: Align innovation with retailer expectations and commercial strategy. Evaluate pricing, margins, and market potential to ensure every launch makes sense.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Establish best practices, templates, and reporting rhythms to embed a scalable, repeatable NPD process.
  • Review & Optimise: Lead structured post-launch reviews to evaluate performance, learn fast, and improve the next launch.
What You'll Bring
  • 4–7 years' FMCG Product Management or NPD experience in regulated consumer categories (vaping, alcohol, food/beverage, cosmetics, or supplements).
  • Proven track record of delivering end-to-end product launches without direct team leadership.
  • Strong project management capability (Asana experience ideal).
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to interpret consumer insights and commercial data into actionable product decisions.
  • Highly organised, pragmatic, and comfortable working at pace.
  • Commercially fluent - confident using spreadsheets and financial logic to assess viability.
