**Chill It Ice Limited** is seeking a skilled and experienced **Production Manager**to run our **Auckland**ice manufacturing operations, driving daily output, safety and industry compliance, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement across shifts.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Plan, organise, and coordinate end-to-end ice manufacturing operations, including people, plant, and shift schedules to meet output, quality, and cost targets.
- Set production strategies, SOPs, and KPIs; adjust resources and workflows to minimise downtime and waste.
- Manage day-to-day plant operations and quality systems; schedule preventive maintenance and ensure availability of parts, tools, packaging, and utilities.
- Lead commissioning and optimisation of equipment (ice makers, conveyors, baggers) and drive continuous-improvement initiatives to lift throughput and energy efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with food-grade standards (e.g., HACCP/MPI), workplace health & safety, and environmental controls (water quality, sanitation, temperature).
- Build and lead a high-performing team—rosters, task allocation, training, performance coaching, and safe work practices.
- Monitor production results (output, yields, scrap, OEE, costs); maintain accurate records and prepare management reports.
- Oversee inventory of inputs (filters, pallets, bags) and finished goods; coordinate cold
- room capacity and dispatch with logistics.
- Troubleshoot recurring faults and liaise with suppliers/service vendors for timely repairs or component replacements.
- Partner with sales and operations on demand planning, production scheduling, and customer fulfilment during peak periods.

**Additional Requirements**:

- Minimum of 2 year of relevant work experience
- Flexibility to support rostered weekends and public holidays during peak demand.
- Able to juggle competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong attention to detail with consistently accurate record-keeping and compliance.
- Proven troubleshooting and root-cause problem-solving skills.
- Confident in production planning/scheduling and coordinating preventative maintenance to reduce downtime.
- Clear, professional communicator with stakeholders across the plant, logistics, and suppliers.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
