Role Overview:

The firm is seeking an experienced Senior Associate or Counsel to join its Competition, Regulation & Trade team in Melbourne, Australia. The firm is open to offering a full relocation package.

The successful candidate will engage in a broad spectrum of work, including:

  • Advising on competition and consumer law matters.
  • Handling regulatory compliance issues.
  • Managing cartel and behavioural investigations.
  • Assisting with merger clearances and regulatory advice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic legal advice on competition, consumer, and regulatory matters.
  • Represent clients in investigations and litigation related to competition law.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to their professional development.

Qualifications:

  • 6 to 12 years plus of experience in private practice or relevant regulatory bodies
  • In-depth knowledge of competition and/or consumer and regulatory law.
  • Proven experience in advisory work
  • Excellent academic credentials and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
  • Client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
