Join Our Team as a Collection Point Assistant (Casual)

Auckland Airport is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Collection Point Assistant to be part of our dynamic customer service team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring that our passengers receive a smooth and efficient collection experience upon their arrival in New Zealand.

The Collection Point Assistant will support the delivery of high-quality service at our collection points, assisting passengers with baggage retrieval and handling inquiries to enhance their overall airport experience. You will work collaboratively with various stakeholders including airlines, transport operators, and other airport teams to ensure that all operations run seamlessly.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Assisting passengers with their luggage and ensuring a seamless collection process.
  • Providing outstanding customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure efficient flow of passengers and luggage.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization at collection points to provide a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Reporting any issues or incidents to the appropriate personnel promptly.
  • Monitoring passenger flow and adjusting operations as needed to reduce wait times.

What We Are Looking For

  • To be successful in this role, you should align with our AKL values All In | Tātou tatou, Know How | Kōkiri Tahi, and Let's Go | Karawhiua. You should have a passion for providing excellent customer service and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in a busy environment.
  • Available to work on an on-call basis.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with different stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Physical fitness to assist with baggage handling as required.
