Āu Mahi | What You Will Do

As the Learning Systems Coordinator, you will provide guidance and technical support to academic staff. You will ensure that learning platforms are effectively utilised, accessible, and engaging for both staff and students. A key part of your role will be anticipating and resolving technical issues while actively enhancing the learning experience through innovative solutions and training. In this role you will:

  • Manage and optimise online course sites, ensuring they are well-structured and easy to navigate.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for staff and students using the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Train staff on how to use learning technologies effectively, offering both one-on-one coaching and group sessions.
  • Assist in the setup and administration of online exams, ensuring security and accessibility for all students.
  • Stay up to date with emerging trends and best practices in online education, offering insights to improve course delivery.
  • Collaborate with various university teams to enhance the overall digital learning experience.

Mōu | Who You Are

This role requires a proactive and collaborative mindset, as you will work closely with different teams and you will also have:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in learning systems administration or a related role.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot IT-related issues.
  • Experience in online learning platforms and supporting distance education students.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and support staff at different skill levels.
  • A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and engaging learning environment
  • An alignment with our organisation's values and culture, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
