Description
We are looking for a Recruitment and Onboarding Coordinator to help set apprentices up for success from day one. This role supports the onboarding and placement readiness of approximately 250 to 300 apprentices every year across five regions. Working across recruitment administration, onboarding coordination, scheduling and logistics, you will help create a seamless start for our apprentices and contribute to continuous improvement across our systems and processes. This role can be based in Auckland or Christchurch.
What you will do- Coordinate onboarding for approximately 250 to 300 apprentices each year, including logistics, documentation and preboarding communications.
- Organise regional Induction events, managing scheduling, venues, presenters, materials and follow up.
- Support recruitment during peak periods, including inbox management, reference checks and scheduling.
- Ensure accurate collection, filing and handover of all compliance documents and safety certifications.
- Provide flexible operational support across onboarding, recruitment and placement teams during busy periods or staff leave.
- Contribute to process improvements and work closely with internal teams to strengthen workflows and handovers.

- Knowledge of, or interest in, trades and vocational pathways.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and organisational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and systems such as SELMA or CRMs.
- Ability to work across multiple workstreams and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Comfortable supporting events, managing logistics and preparing documentation.
