About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Improvement Manager to drive operational excellence, compliance, and innovation across our pharmacy and aesthetic divisions.

This role involves analysing and enhancing business systems, optimising workflow, and ensuring that all operations meet New Zealand's healthcare and aesthetic service regulations.

The ideal candidate will be skilled in identifying organisational gaps, implementing process improvements, and promoting a culture of continuous learning and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Improvement


• Assist in developing objectives, strategies, and plans aimed at achieving customer satisfaction and efficient resource utilisation.


• Evaluate current business systems, retail processes, and aesthetic service workflows to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements.


• Direct teams toward more efficient organisational structures and implement sustainable solutions.

Compliance & Risk Management


• Ensure adherence to Medsafe, Ministry of Health, and related regulatory frameworks for both pharmacy and medical aesthetics operations.


• Review company processes related to prescription medicine handling, cosmetic injectables, and skincare treatments to ensure full legal and ethical compliance.


• Maintain accurate operational records, procedural manuals, and compliance documentation.


• Identify and mitigate risks related to service delivery, patient confidentiality, and professional practice.

Process Review & Implementation


• Conduct work studies to analyse and improve administrative, operational, and customer service procedures.


• Record and evaluate workflow charts, reports, and staff responsibilities to streamline communication and efficiency.


• Prepare proposals to revise job functions, redefine work processes, and address organisational challenges.


• Assist in implementing approved recommendations and developing new procedure manuals and staff training documentation.

Continuous Improvement & Collaboration


• Facilitate discussions with pharmacists, beauty therapists, and customer service teams to identify improvement opportunities.


• Encourage collaboration across pharmacy and aesthetic service teams to ensure seamless customer experience and regulatory compliance.


• Monitor performance and recommend strategies to maintain consistent quality and innovation.

About You

Qualifications and Experience:


• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related discipline;

OR at least 5 years of relevant work experience in business improvement, operations, or compliance roles.


• Proven experience in process analysis, workflow optimisation, and organisational development.


• Understanding of regulated industries such as pharmacy, healthcare, or beauty/medical aesthetics.


• Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.


• Ability to adapt, collaborate, and implement changes effectively across teams.
