The Role
We are actively seeking multiple skilled and reliable Site Engineer's to join our team. This is a hands-on role combining technical site engineering duties with high-quality fabrication and welding work. You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, coordinating and managing site works, and delivering precision metalwork both in the workshop and on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
· Fabrication & Assembly
o Read and interpret structural drawings and technical schematics
o Fabricate metal structures as per supplied engineering drawings
o Assemble and install metal structures as per supplied engineering drawings
o Performing and maintaining company set quality assurance systems and processes
o Be able to work independently or alongside a junior engineer when given instruction
· Site Operations & Collaboration
o Collaborate with site supervisors, engineers, other trades and your team members to carry out set tasks to meet communicated deadlines
o Report project progress to senior supervisors to assist in the execution of the project
o Represent the company in all dealings with stakeholders when in public
o Assist in the training and development of junior staff both in the workshop and on site
· Health & Safety
o Operate to a standard that meets the requirements of the companies set Health & Safety Policies
o Attend and complete training/certification as required to maintain compliance with industry and H&S standards
o Follow the safety protocols outlined in site specific client or company H&S documentation
o Report incidents or near-misses and participate in toolbox talks
Requirements
- Over 5 years proven experience as a site engineer and/or welder fabricator.
- Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, and/or Stick) and metal fabrication.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and measurements.
- Commitment to workplace safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work out of town/after hours as needed for site projects.
- Full NZ driver's license.

Additional Notes:
- We do work with various government agencies and as part of the job application process, a background check will be run to allow security clearances to be issued as required.
- Qualified Tradesmen preferred but not required.
