Holland Beckett Law is a progressive and growing full-service law firm, situated in the sunny Bay of Plenty with offices in Tauranga, Rotorua and Whakatane. With over 160 employees, it is one of the largest provincial practices in New Zealand.

We are seeking a talented and driven lawyer to join our busy property and commercial practice in Tauranga and are open to candidates who have between 3-5 years' experience.

About the Role:

You will work within an energetic and collegial team managed by a Partner across a range of work including:

  • Commercial property - acting for landlords/property owners;

  • Property transactions – residential, commercial and rural;

  • Business transactions - sale and purchase of businesses & shares;

  • Business structuring advice - a particular focus on shareholder agreements & succession planning;

  • Subdivisions – private, commercial and industrial;

  • Local Authority work;

  • Māori Land – with a focus on commercial endeavours and property transactions.

The team comprises a mix of Lawyers, Legal Executives and Support Staff at differing stages of their careers.

What we are looking for:

  • NZ admitted lawyer with 3-5 years' PQE;

  • Property experience with demonstrated commercial nous. Trust and estate planning knowledge would be useful;

  • Strong client service orientation and a desire to add real value to every client interaction;

  • Strong work ethic;

  • Excellent communication, written and technical skills; and

  • Down to earth and collaborative interpersonal style.
