The Opportunity:

Routes: Auckland Wharf and Metro Auckland with occasional trips to Hamilton or Tauranga. 
Locations: Based out of our site in Onehunga.
Hours: min 40 hours per week, full-time permanent positions. AM shift (5am start) and PM shift available.

What you'll do:

  • Operate a Class 5 Container Truck for timely and efficient freight pick-up and delivery to sites across Auckland and Auckland Ports.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections to ensure your vehicle is roadworthy and compliant. 
  • Accurately complete electronic reporting systems and other required documentation. 
  • Comply with all company/site policies and state and national transport regulations, including Fatigue Management and Chain of Responsibility laws.
  • Adhere to all load restraint guidelines to ensure freight is securely transported. 

What you will bring to the team: 

  • A valid Clean Class 5 Licence and Dangerous Goods Licence. Swing Lift certificate highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 2 years' recent experience operating Class 5 Skeletal Trailer Truck transporting containers is essential.
  • Experience with Skully Tipping, Swinglift, Truck & Trailer, Container Trailers is highly desirable.
  • Sound knowledge of the Auckland Ports and Metro Auckland routes.
  • Excellent communication, time management skills and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • A comprehensive understanding of road, fatigue, and load restraint laws. 
  • Pride in the presentation and maintenance of trucks and equipment.
