Technical Sales Consultant

This role will be in our Christchurch Showroom on Blenheim Road which opened earlier this year, before adding Hamilton and Tauranga to the portfolio, with further plans for more showrooms across Australasia next year.

About the role

We have two Technical Sales Consultant roles on offer at Living Culture, presenting an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative company as part of their passionate sales team. Based in Upper Riccarton, you will be responsible for providing expert sales and technical support to customers across a range of specialist Outdoor Living products. These roles are 30hrs per week across four days, Thursday to Monday or Sunday to Wednesday with three days in the showroom and one on the road in the company vehicle doing customer site visits and measurements. One of our top-selling products is our Louvre-Roof Pergola's, with some customers needing some technical on-site help working out the best option for them, within both our stocked range, custom made, or a mix of the two. Due to this we are looking for people with a technical background, who either have sales experience or the charisma and drive to learn sales to complement their technical skills.  If you have previous experience in building, cabinet making, landscaping or some other technical background looking to get into a sales position then this could be the role for you.

What you'll be doing

• Actively engaging with customers to understand their needs and requirements, and managing the customer experience from first contact through to quoting and sales order processing
• Providing in-depth technical advice and product recommendations to customers
• Identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling
• Working with amazing outdoor products
• Providing customers with technical support, site visits and design concepts
• Assist with merchandising the showroom floor

What we're looking for

• Strong technical knowledge and proven experience in a technical field (Technical drawing experience a plus)
• Proven ability to sell, or the aptitude to learn
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
• A customer-centric approach with a keen focus on delivering exceptional service
• Great communication skills with the ability to build rapport alongside strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales tools to track and manage customer interactions
• A self-motivated and driven individual with a passion for achieving sales targets
• A keen attitude and willingness to learn coupled with the desire to learn and grow with the business
