About the Role
Our Health Shuttle service provides free, equitable access to health care away from home for Te Tai Tokerau communities. The shuttle departs Whangārei Hospital at 7am and travels to Auckland and back, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). As a shuttle driver, you will provide essential daily transport services within Te Tai Tokerau Northland and Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. You will be responsible to ensure a safe and comfortable transport solution for Te Tai Tokerau clients travelling in your care.

About you
Were looking for an experienced driver with excellent customer service skills and a strong focus on defensive, safe, and fuel-efficient driving. You need to be a compassionate and empathetic professional with outstanding communication skills and a genuine commitment to supporting people from all walks of life. You will thrive in diverse environments and are dedicated to delivering exceptional care with sensitivity and respect. As a positive, adaptable team player, youll respond thoughtfully to individual needs, bringing warmth, understanding, and a caring presence to every interaction.
- Current, clean full Class 1 New Zealand Drivers Licence
- Passenger (P) Endorsement for Small Passenger Service (SPSL) vehicles
- Good knowledge of Northland roads and geography
- Professional driving experience in a taxi, or other passenger services
- Proven knowledge of Worktime and Logbook Rule for operating within a passenger service environment
Previous experience in the health sector is desirable, however not essential to apply.
