About the Role

As a Nurse Coordinator in the Emergency Department, you will primarily be responsible for providing clinical coordination and direction to the nursing team within the department.

Key responsibility areas include:

  • Effectively and efficiently co-ordinate the day-to-day activities of the department and staff
  • Ensure the provision of quality care which is safe, professional and patient focused
  • Demonstrate clinical leadership of the nursing team

About you

  • New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current annual practicing certificate

  • Minimum 5 years recent experience in an Emergency Department

  • Designated Expert PDRP (demonstrating clinical examples)

  • Working towards or holder of a relevant Post Graduate Diploma
  • Ability to work independently in a team, enhancing the capability and contribution of the team
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching skills
  • Current New Zealand Drivers Licence
