About the role:

We're looking for a talented and aspiring full stack engineer to join our friendly team based on-site in Epsom. In our business we have a fantastic environment for hands-on career development, meaning you'll get to work on interesting projects and stretch your interpersonal and business skills as you go.

In this role you'll spend 80-90% of your time doing hands-on programming but we're looking for someone who also wants to play an active part in the solution design and refinement process, is proactive, and enjoys interacting with business customers.

If your style is to complete your user stories in silence in a big tech company…then we're not the team for you.

The person we're looking for has:

  • A good sense of how to fine-tune a solution to fit within a delivery timeline and is capable of working with business stakeholders to find compromises that ensure those timelines can be met
  • 2+ years of experience in a professional software development setting
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders, or has the communication skills and motivation to do so
  • Is able to translate technical implications and trade-offs to a non-technical audience
  • Is empathetic about end user needs and is able and willing to find compromises on technical solutions
  • Experience working in an agile environment, or the desire to learn
  • Appreciates the value of, and is good at, attention to detail, documentation and record keeping
  • Game development and programming skills are an advantage.
