As the VP of Engineering you will lead the Southern Hemisphere Development Engineering Team. Taking a lead role within the Product Leadership Team and partnering with the CTO, you are a people person, technology leader, and comfortable with managing the software development lifecycle. You play a pivotal role in inspiring and motivating everyone in the Product Engineering group to be the best they can be.

About the Role:

  • Reporting into the CTO, you will be responsible for diagnosing and creating in partnership with the team, the program of change programs relating to systems and process improvements.
  • Define and deliver the Engineering Strategy and roadmap, aligning with the broader product and business vision.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, empowering teams to experiment, learn, and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Inspire and lead high-performing engineering teams, setting clear goals, expectations, and accountability through effective OKRs.
  • Drive technical excellence and the delivery of high-quality releases, leveraging engineering talent and modern practices.
  • Act as a thought leader with organisation-wide impact, collaborating across business functions to drive strategic outcomes.
  • Champion AI adoption, performance optimisation, and security compliance, ensuring Gentrack remains at the forefront of technology.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in Enterprise App Solutions deployed in a SAAS environment
  • Experience in Utilities Industry highly advantageous
  • Ability to create and facilitate partnerships by influencing a diverse range of regional and international stakeholders
  • A leader with deep technical expertise with excellent story telling capability. You can effectively communicate and influence across a wide range of stakeholders with demonstrable results in previous organisations.
