Are you looking for a role which allows you to explore the picturesque landscapes of Queenstown, while providing enrichment and quality care for man's best friend? An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a fast-growing home-grown business in the heart of Tahuna.
This position is ideal for you if you are looking for an active and stimulating role, in a dynamic environment with an office location like no other.
Duties include:
- Walking dogs according to a predetermined schedule
- Transporting dogs around Queenstown and the surrounding areas
- Observation and proactive management of dog behaviour
- Planning suitable walking routes
- Building strong relationships with clients
- Communicating clearly with coworkers and management
- Maintenance and care of company property
- Correct disposal of dog waste
- Provision of animal first aid in the case of injury, prior to seeking veterinary attention
- Photographing and subsequent publishing of dogs on social media platforms
The ideal candidate will be responsible, trustworthy and have a good level of fitness, physical strength and stamina. Knowledge of animal behaviour, patience and compassion are a must. The ability to work independently and be forward thinking, whilst having excellent communication and customer service skills is key. Also crucial are a respect for the environment, as well as reasonable proficiency in photography and use of social media.
Previous experience within the canine industry is a must. Pet first aid certificate is beneficial but will be provided.
You must have a full Driver's License with no offences and availability to work Mon-Fri and occasional weekends. There is also the opportunity for house sitting for additional work.
You must currently be in Queenstown, New Zealand and have current work right, sponsorship can NOT be provided.
Wages to be discussed upon interview. Start date 7th January 2026.
