Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Infrastructure Architect
to lead the design, implementation, and governance of our cloud and on-premises infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in hybrid cloud environments, network architecture, virtualization, and infrastructure security. This role will work closely with application, security, and network teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain cloud (Azure) and on-prem infrastructure architecture aligned with business objectives.
  • Design secure, scalable, and resilient network architectures for hybrid environments.
  • Develop and execute migration strategies for workloads moving from on-premises to cloud.
  • Establish governance frameworks, compliance standards, and security best practices.
  • Collaborate with application, security, and network teams for integrated infrastructure solutions.
  • Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, disaster recovery (DR), and high-availability setups.
  • Prepare and maintain architecture documentation, SOPs, and runbooks.
  • Support incident/problem management and root cause analysis for infrastructure issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for infrastructure reliability, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Mentor and guide technical teams on emerging technologies and best practices.
  • Maintain hardware/software asset register and knowledge base accuracy according to SLA standards.
  • Prepare monthly operational reports and quarterly governance updates.
  • Ensure adherence to security and access management policies, procedures, and standards.

Required Technical Skills

  • Expertise in
    Azure Cloud infrastructure
    design and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of
    on-prem data center architecture
    , virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and storage solutions.
  • Experience in
    network architecture
    (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, firewalls, load balancers).
  • Proficiency in
    Identity & Access Management (IAM)
    , security frameworks, and compliance standards.
  • Familiarity with
    Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
    tools (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Knowledge of
    disaster recovery (DR), backup strategies
    , and high-availability architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with
    monitoring tools
    (e.g., Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Nagios).
  • Understanding of
    hybrid cloud models
    and migration strategies.

Desired Competencies

Must-Have:

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of network architecture and security.
  • Expertise in data center operations, virtualization, and storage.
  • Ability to create architecture blueprints, standards, and governance.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.

Good-to-Have:

  • Certifications in Azure, AWS, or GCP Architecture.
  • Knowledge of container orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Exposure to cost optimization and FinOps principles.
