Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and resolving complex issues with empathy and precision? Westpac is looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Transactions Disputes Officer to join our team.
Mō te Tūranga | About the Role
In this role, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing high-quality service to resolve disputed card transactions for both cardholders and merchants.
- Applying Mastercard chargeback rules accurately and promptly to ensure fair outcomes for our customers and the bank.
- Demonstrating empathy and educating customers on dispute outcomes, even when unfavourable.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to team-wide enhancements.
- Participating in cross-training to boost personal development and team capability.
- Ensuring the effective, timely, and accurate delivery of a high level of customer experience for all internal and external stakeholders.

- A strong understanding of relevant regulatory obligations, ensuring our processes remain compliant while operating efficiently and effectively.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Experience in banking, financial services, or customer-facing roles is a plus.
