We are looking to fill 2 positions:

• 1 X Demi Chef - Events Service- proven experience in a similar role, preferably within busy events operations (flexible roster)
• 1 X Demi Chef - Outlet kitchen (flexible roster)

We are seeking experienced chefs to join our outlets' teams who share the same goals of wanting to create local, elegant, and wholesome food with a twist. Work in some great kitchens and learn something new.

These positions opens new and exciting career paths as you will be exposed to different cuisines, menus, and the ability to work in different outlets and gain further skills and experience from Hyatt's best.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• To assist the Sous Chef in ensuring that all culinary standards in that section comply with company and Hotel Policies and Procedures and Minimum Standards.
• To ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and according to the standard recipe.
• To work united and perform their tasks to the best of their ability.
• To organize and sets up the assigned section of the Food and Beverage Kitchen as efficiently as possible to increase speed and maximize productivity.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years work experience in a similar role in a hotel or large restaurant with good standards: preferably with experience in luxury international brands
• Good knowledge of kitchen hygiene practices and occupational health and safety standards
• Safe and accurate knife skills
• NZ residency or working rights
• Able to interact with guests providing an exceptional experience
• NZ residency or working rights in New Zealand
• Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays
