About the Role This is a senior technical leadership position focused on designing and implementing complex network and security solutions across enterprise and cloud environments. You will play a key role in architecture, project delivery, and technical governance, while mentoring engineers and ensuring best practice standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Develop network solution designs that meet business and security requirements
  • Lead technical delivery for network and security projects, ensuring compliance and quality
  • Act as a technical escalation point and provide guidance to internal teams and customers
  • Conduct audits of customer networks and systems, identifying areas for optimisation
  • Maintain accurate documentation of designs, configurations, and project progress
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and apply innovative solutions to projects

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a consultancy or MSP environment is highly desired and applicants with this experience will be prioritised
  • Familiarity with Network Technologies such as SD wan, Palo alto, Fotinet, Aruba, Cisco, Juniper
  • Extensive experience in network engineering or architecture, including enterprise and cloud environments
  • Proven ability to design and deliver complex network and security solutions
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPN, and cloud networking
  • Experience leading projects from design through to implementation
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and large-scale network environments
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to mentor and develop technical capability within a team

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in IT is an advantage, but experience is highly valued
