Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Transport Leader – New Zealand to drive the growth and success of our transport business nationally. This role can be based anywhere in New Zealand.
You will play a pivotal role in building and strengthening our Transport offering — whether your background lies in Highways, Rail, or both. You will leverage and unify our existing teams to win, deliver and sustain major transport projects across the country.
This is a visible and influential leadership position, ideal for someone who is well connected in the New Zealand transport sector, thrives on building high-performing teams, and is passionate about creating long-term client partnerships.
Key responsibilities:
Lead and grow Egis' transport presence across New Zealand in the Highways and/or Rail sectors.
Build, mentor and inspire high-performing teams, fostering collaboration across our existing NZ footprint.
Drive business development, identifying opportunities, shaping proposals, and strengthening client and partner relationships.
Oversee project delivery, ensuring excellence in quality, technical outcomes and commercial performance.
Work closely with senior leaders to set strategy, establish market positioning and support long-term growth.
Represent Egis with industry bodies, clients and key stakeholders, championing our transport capability.
Promote continuous improvement, innovation and best practice across teams and projects.
Extensive experience in New Zealand's transport sector (Highways and/or Rail).
Proven ability to build, grow and lead high-performing teams.
Strong network and stakeholder relationships within the NZ transport industry.
Demonstrated success in winning and delivering transport projects.
Strategic mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and shape market presence.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to represent Egis at senior levels.
A collaborative, people-focused leader who can bring teams together across locations.
