Join us as a Grader Operator/Foreman in the Canterbury Region

 

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated leader to join our Christchurch construction team as a Grader Operator/Foreman. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a pavement crew, while operating specialist machinery related to civil and roading works, to help deliver work for our customers safely, on time and to the highest quality standard.

In addition to the above you will:

  • Lead a pavement crew to ensure effective delivery of our pavement construction projects across the Canterbury region.
  • Operate the grader with skill and precision.
  • Interpret plans and specifications to deliver exceptional results.
  • Complete machinery checks as and when required.
  • Monitor plant maintenance, keeping timely and well organised records.

We're looking for someone with:  

  • Extensive experience operating Graders
  • A Class 2 Licence (Class 4 advantageous)
  • WTR Endorsements.
  • Proficient with Trimble machine control.
  • A Minimum of 3 years' experience in the civil construction industry or similar.
  • Outstanding leadership skills, with proven experience supervising and leading crews.
  • Flexibility to perform various daily tasks and grow with the team.
  • A proactive approach to health and safety - it's our #1 priority
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
