Paul Smith Earthmoving is a specialist in excavation, demolition, drainage, construction, road construction, landscaping, rock supply, trucking and transport works, and farming infrastructure. We have extensive experience in both residential and commercial earthworks projects, with notable projects including Fonterra Clandeboye, Halswell New World, Christchurch Cathedral, South Canterbury Networks Outcomes Contract, and Amuri Irrigation Scheme. Our team of 180 permanent staff is based throughout New Zealand with offices in Timaru, Ashburton, Christchurch, Greymouth, Twizel, and Auckland. We are committed to delivering projects successfully and efficiently.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Project Manager located in Greymouth. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing earthworks projects from inception to completion. Day-to-day tasks include managing project timelines, coordinating with various stakeholders, expediting project deliverables, conducting inspections, and handling logistics management. The Project Manager will ensure quality standards are met and projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in project management within the earthmoving or civil construction industry
- Strong understanding of earthworks, site preparation, and heavy machinery operations
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Valid driver's licence
