Senior Associate – Project Management
- Lead the continued growth in the Project and Programme Management team, with client relationship management responsibilities as a senior member of Beca's Waikato business
- Lead project delivery across the full range of the construction project lifecycle stages, working strategically with clients throughout the region and across Beca's range of technical disciplines

Te whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
Play a local Project Management and Delivery leadership role in this Senior Associate – Project Management opportunity. You will be actively working with local regional clients to shape, develop, and deliver project management and related services for key clients, across a range of sectors in the Waikato region. You will be an integral part of the local Beca office and business, working with a tight knit senior team across our disciplines all passionate about working together to make a difference across the Waikato region.
To be successful in this role, you will be a client focused, relationship builder with great communication skills and the ability to work with and understand different client and sector requirements. In addition, what will be important are your abilities to connect across the local Hamilton team and more broadly into the vast Beca disciplines throughout New Zealand. Having the experience and background in being able to engage with others, advocating for local client needs, and gaining agreement on project delivery plans, will be a key requirement for this role. You will have a strong team at Beca based locally and nationwide, to support you in project delivery and so you will need to have demonstrated experience at working across different project types, different client sectors, and across disciplines. You will enjoy working closely with teams, to share your knowledge and experience to grow and develop others and have fun along the way.
This role will provide you with plenty of variety and scope, working across a broad range of client types and sectors. Experience delivering projects across the local government sector (such as water and other related projects) will be required for this role. Within these sectors, you will also be supporting local project delivery for large national programs and working with national clients for projects on their assets and capital work projects based in the region. As such, you will be making a real difference across the region bringing the best of Beca's multi discipline abilities to projects through the application of your expertise across all aspects and project lifecycle from initial inception and briefing, through design management, procurement, construction, and client hand over.
In Hamilton Beca has a multi-disciplinary team with a great team culture and a flexible working environment. You will be playing a key project delivery and leadership role as a trusted advisor and project delivery practitioner. You will be part of a multidisciplinary regional business of around 150 staff and operating within a cohort of over 200 project and programme management professionals across New Zealand. In this team and within the regional office, you will be part of an open and collaborative team structure across all functions and levels in the business, embedded into the culture as part of 'making everyday better'. Having a demonstrated ability or affinity with working within this team and office environment will be an important for success in this role.

Key role components include:
Project Management experience across both small and large scale projects, ideally from multiple markets.
Existing networks and client contacts in Hamilton and Waikato that you can continue to grow, and experience in business development, bidding, proposal writing and securing new work.
Experience in leading client engagement and building relationships to understand key project requirements, leading people and applying commercial judgement.
Demonstrated experienced in design management, project planning and delivery, and strategic advice.
A relevant tertiary qualification with experience aligned to providing consulting services in the project management sector.
