The Role
This isn't your typical office job — you'll be at the heart of a fast-paced retail operation, ensuring our support functions run seamlessly while the front line focuses on customers. You'll juggle multiple priorities, keep systems organised, and help the team stay one step ahead.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily office operations in a busy retail setting
- Oversee stock control systems, supplier communications, and retail reporting
- Coordinate rosters, payroll support, and staff onboarding
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and retail workplace standards
- Provide administrative support to store managers and senior leadership
- Keep the office environment efficient, professional, and well-resourced
Minimum Requirements
- Organizational skills – Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Communication skills – strong written and verbal communication to interact with staff and clients.
- Problem Solving Skills – Ability to address issues as they arise and find effective solutions
- Technical Proficiency – Familiarity with office software and equipment as well as basic accounting principles, with an aptitude to learn new systems and procedures
Experience and knowledge working in a Retail/Supermarket experience would be beneficial but not essential
NCEA Level 3 or equivalent secondary school qualification
- At least 2 years' experience in office administration, retail support, or management
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Certificate in Business Administration, Retail Management, or HR (NZQA Level 4–5)
- Experience with Xero, payroll systems and staff rostering software
- Knowledge of stock control processes and supplier management
- Health & Safety training relevant to NZ retail operations
- Proven ability to manage seasonal retail peaks (e.g., Christmas trading)
