Ake is a kaupapa-led accounting and advisory firm supporting businesses, Māori organisations, and whānau across Aotearoa. Our focus is on excellence, impact, and building long-term client relationships grounded in trust and tikanga.
We are looking for a dedicated Client Services Administrator to support our internal team and our clients.
The Role
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, accuracy, and relationship-based service.
You will be responsible for:
- Payroll processing
- Trust account transactions, reconciliations, and audit-ready recordkeeping
- Companies Office & Charities Services administration
- Accounts payable and receivable
- Monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Processing paperless payables (Hubdoc or equivalent)
- Maintaining accurate data feeds and coding
- Preparing monthly management reports for Client Managers
- Lease monitoring and income reconciliation
- Supporting annual accounts preparation and finalisation
- Preparing and sending client documents, tracking signatures, and managing workflow in FYI/XPM
- Grants and Distributions Processing
About You
The successful candidate will bring professionalism, accuracy, and strong people skills.
You will ideally have:
- 2-3 years' experience in administration, payroll, bookkeeping, or client services
- Experience with Xero or other cloud systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and high accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- A proactive, organised, and positive approach
- Respect for Te Ao Māori and willingness to embrace tikanga
- Confidence working with clients and building rapport
