Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Structural Engineer role based in Papakura. The Structural Engineer will be responsible for conducting structural analysis, creating detailed engineering designs, performing calculations, and ensuring project compliance with applicable codes and standards. The role involves review structural drawings and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project execution. Active engagement with clients, councils, and other stakeholders will be part of delivering quality solutions for a diverse range of projects.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Structural Engineering and Civil Engineering principles, with a strong understanding of industry codes and practices
- Capability to perform Structural Analysis and Calculations to ensure safety and stability in designs
- Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for drafting and reviewing detailed structural designs
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and clients
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership) is preferred
- Knowledge of New Zealand building codes and experience with local projects is advantageous
