Army and Outdoors is New Zealand's leading supplier of military surplus, tactical gear, and outdoor equipment. As our online catalogue continues to expand, we're looking for a Website & Product Listing Assistant to help bring new products online efficiently and accurately.

This role suits someone organised, tech-savvy, and capable of handling multiple tasks at once — particularly if you have an interest in military surplus or outdoor gear.


About the Role

You'll manage the complete process of getting products live on our website. Using structured workflows and modern AI tools, you'll ensure each listing is clear, consistent, and ready for customers.

Your key tasks include:
  • Photography:

    Capture clean, consistent images using our pre-set white-box setup (3–5 angles per item).
  • Image Preparation Using AI:

    Remove backgrounds, enhance images, and prepare final photos for upload.
  • Product Descriptions:

    Use AI to generate draft descriptions, then refine details such as features, condition, sizing, and materials.
  • Shopify Listing Setup:

    Upload images, enter product details, select collections, apply tags, and ensure formatting is correct.
  • Cin7 SKU Creation:

    Create or duplicate SKUs, add key item information, and link inventory with Shopify.
  • General Website Support:

    Assist with collections, product organisation, and maintaining clean, consistent catalogue data.

This role benefits from strong multitasking, batching, and the ability to move smoothly through a structured workflow.

Performance will be supported by clear KPIs, focused on quality, accuracy, and consistent output — these will be discussed during onboarding.

  • Reliable, practical, and comfortable working independently

  • Experience with Shopify, Cin7, Trademe or similar e-commerce platforms
  • Previous listing, retail, catalogue, or inventory experience
  • Basic design or photography awareness (not essential)
