Join Our Team at Lewis & Co Experienced Furniture Sales Consultant Wanted for Christchurch Outlet Store.

About Us:

D.A. Lewis, a proud family-owned business for 79 years, has rebranded to Lewis & Co and moving to a new location. As we establish ourselves in this new chapter, we're looking for a skilled Furniture Sales Consultant to join our team and look after sales from our existing Main South Road premises for a fixed term.

Position: Furniture Sales Consultant – Part-time, Fixed Term to 31 March 2026

Location: Christchurch – Main South Road

Days / Hours: Friday (8.45am – 5.15pm)

Saturday (9.30am – 5pm)

Sunday (9.30am – 5pm)

Monday (8.45am – 5.15pm)

Your Role:

  • Assist clients in-store in selecting the furniture they need to complement their homes
  • Drive sales of Lewis & Co's full outlet product range including furniture & accessories, and contribute to achieving store targets
  • Assist with visual merchandising and maintaining an inviting, well-organized store
  • Build lasting relationships with customers through exceptional service
  • Help out in Lewis & Co's new Blenheim Road showroom from time to time

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in furniture sales, interior design or a related field is essential
  • Retail experience is an advantage and an aptitude for sales is a must-have
  • Strong knowledge of indoor & outdoor furniture styles and current home décor trends
  • Excellent communication, listening, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently as there will be periods of sole charge
  • A friendly, approachable attitude and a passion for creating beautiful spaces
  • The ability to start immediately is a definite advantage
