About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Business Analyst to join a major Payroll Transformation Programme. This role will play a critical part in defining the high-level scope during the Discovery Phase and then developing detailed business requirements and process change documentation.

If you have strong payroll expertise, Holidays Act experience, and a track record of delivering transformation projects, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do

  • Lead Discovery:
    Define programme scope and capture all critical deliverables.
  • Transform Processes:
    Map and optimize payroll workflows for future success.
  • Gather Requirements:
    Develop clear, actionable functional and integration requirements.
  • Engage Stakeholders:
    Build strong relationships across business, technical teams, and vendors.
  • Support Delivery:
    Work across Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies using JIRA and Confluence.
  • Drive Data Remediation:
    Define mapping rules and validation criteria.
  • Collaborate on Testing:
    Ensure quality outcomes through structured test planning and execution.

What we're looking for
Essential:

  • 5+ years as a Senior Business Analyst on large-scale Payroll or HRIS projects.
  • Holidays Act compliance experience.
  • Proven track record in payroll system transformation.
  • Strong process mapping and reengineering skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:

  • MYOB PayGlobal and/or Workday experience.
  • Background in utilities, construction, public sector, or regulated environments.
