The Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager – Corporate Services (GMCS) to join our Senior Leadership Team. This pivotal role provides high-level leadership across finance, governance, risk, compliance, legal, and corporate administration for IANZ and its subsidiary, Telarc.

You'll work closely with the Chief Executives, Boards, and leadership teams of the two entities to ensure strong financial stewardship, operational excellence, and good governance. You'll also act as Company Secretary for Telarc, supporting effective board processes and transparent reporting.

Key Responsibilities

·       Lead, coach, and develop a small, high-performing team while fostering a culture of wellbeing, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

·       Lead group-wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, analysis and reporting, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and insight.

·       Oversee statutory, audit, compliance and tax obligations while continuously improving finance systems and processes.

·       Provide leadership across governance and risk management, including enterprise risk frameworks, board papers, and audit management.

·       Manage legal, policy, and contract compliance to ensure organisational integrity.

·       Oversee facilities and administrative services, ensuring operational efficiency and business continuity.

·       Work seamlessly with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team to align corporate services with strategic goals and future growth.

About You

You're an experienced, strategic, and pragmatic leader who thrives on translating strategy into practical action. You'll bring:

·       CA (ANZ) or equivalent qualification (essential)

· years' experience in senior finance, governance, or corporate services roles

·       Proven experience preparing board papers, leading audits, and managing risk and compliance functions

·       A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to work across diverse teams and influence at all levels

·       A strong sense of integrity, accountability, and purpose in delivering excellence in public or professional service

·       Experience in a standards-driven, quality assurance, or regulatory environment
