About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join as a full-time Diesel Mechanic. Based across the Bay of Plenty region, you will play a crucial role in keeping our fleet of heavy vehicles and machinery running smoothly and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

  • Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining diesel engines, transmissions, differentials and other heavy vehicle components
  • Conducting regular servicing and inspections to identify and address any issues proactively
  • Troubleshooting complex mechanical problems and implementing effective solutions
  • Maintaining detailed records of work completed and parts used
  • Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards of safety and quality
  • Collaborating with the wider team to maximise uptime and minimise disruptions

What we're looking for

  • Relevant trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics or a similar discipline
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably within the trades and services industry
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
  • Good communication skills to liaise with team members and provide updates to management
  • A strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to risk management
