**About the role**:
Our apprenticeships give you the chance to work with a variety of Technicians to pick up all the tricks of the trade while completing a nationally recognised trade qualification; the New Zealand Certificate in Heavy Automotive Engineering (Level 4) - Road Transport strand. While being in full time paid employment, you will complete a variety of theory and practical assessments with the support of the local training organisation, MITO. In addition to this, you will undertake in-house technical training on our world class brands of MAN and Western Star.

On the job you'll work in our state of the art workshop in Tauriko with our qualified techs and other apprentices, assisting with repairs, maintenance, service and overhaul of a variety of heavy vehicles. Trucks keep New Zealand running, so roll your sleeves up and join us for the ride.

**What do you need?**
- You need to have a mechanical aptitude and enjoy figuring out how things work
- Have a drive to learn and develop your skills in the classroom and on the tools
- A passion for vehicles, engines or the automotive industry demonstrated through work experience and/or hobbies and interests
- Good communication skills & a bit of self-confidence
- Decent school results, ideally having completed year 12
- Be reliable, dedicated & punctual
- Have had experience in a full or part time job in the past
- Current Driver's Licence
